Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Cruise—basically people whose careers were partially or entirely built on their physique or good looks—have been seemingly terrified of aging or being doughy for years now. If this is considered progress, it happened a long time ago.

I know people who were really excited about her—mostly older (read: Boomer) liberal professionals. I wasn’t one of them, but I also had zero compunctions about voting for her despite not being excited about her.
HRC is the preferred punching bag for almost the entirety of the American political spectrum—basically *all* of the Right, and a lot of the Left.

That’s the pernicious thing about capitalism—nothing is immune to it. And certainly not mass produceable symbols and iconography.
I too thought there needed to be some shit-talking about parent in order for it to be parental alienation (i.e., like wouldn’t be enough to super win the kuds over—you need to make them affirmatively dislike the other parent.) But then again, that may just be the most common form of parental alienation?
