Did you mean to reply to my comment? I’m not caping for Lizzo-as-helpless-victim here; I’m pointing out that ‘calling out her weight’ is readily distinguishable from calling out drug or alcohol addiction—they’re not really the same. It’s not an apt comparison. And moralizing any health condition is asinine.

He also earned the support of Protect Our Future, a super PAC funded by cryptocurrency billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried focused on pandemic prevention.”

Typically, substance abuse problems in celebrities really only get called out publicly when the addict begins to hurt others, whether through negligence or intentional acts. Being overweight doesn’t really hurt anyone besides the person themselves. So I don't buy that people calling out Lizzo's weight are doing so out

If you’re going to publicly concern-troll someone about possibly having diabetes, you should post a copy of your last labs with your A1C.

I have to assume the guy has something wrong with him that makes him difficult to work with, unreliable, or volatile, given that he’s basically been a road/touring comedian for over a decade now. He never got his own show despite his schtick (impressions) more or less being perfect for a 30-minute sketch comedy show

I feel like Gary Anthony Williams could just play Uncle Ruckus if there were ever a live action performance—any actor playing the part would need so many prosthetics in order to look as ugly and jacked up as Uncle Ruckus that you may as well put Williams in there and to carry over that iconic (and epic) vocal

Would I have called the cops? No. Am I prepared to tell someone at what level of domestic violence they are socially entitled to call the police? Also no.

Yes, they do. Are you under the impression that minors are subject to cruel or unusual punishment (the Eighth Amendment,) or aren’t entitled to equal protection under the law (Fourteenth Amendments)? A handful of minor students’ rights are a little modified in a public schools setting, but they still have rights.

FINALLY people get to see the real me: an asshole.

So, uh... where are the right wing “Freeze Peach” warriors having a coniption fit over this act of de facto censorship?

Eh, sorta. Without rape or incest exceptions, you’re still looking at a not-good situation for the GOP. That little girl who had to have an abortion in Indiana, which FN and Republicans tried like Hell to paint as a hoax, is not going to be the last case like that. And you can guarantee that every such case is going

“The judge in Texas said the guidance didn’t ‘consider the welfare of unborn children.ʼ”

So, if he had shot and killed her, would Texas Republicans and other anti-abortion nut jobs be clamoring for him to be charged with the murder of the fetus?

It’s a totally absurd comparison. Even if we were to accept FN's wildest mischaracterizations of BLM protests (i.e., that they’re violent riots out to burn cities to the ground in a blind rage,) it would still not hold a candle to the attempted violent overthrow of the United States of America.

“He” who?

I agree that a positive counter-example would be helpful, so rather than simply have a list of DOs and DON’Ts, there would someone who embodies the “DOs” and best practices, with a lifestyle or brand appealing to young men and boys that they’d say “I wanna be like THAT guy.” However, Jordan Peterson is 100000000% not

I agree—for now. Discovery may reveal some fucked up aspect to this, but based on just these representations, Michael’s and Morgan’s (especially Morgan’s) respective involvement here seems pretty attenuated. Jimmy Fallon is an irresponsible idiot though, and, by many public accounts, a full blown alcoholic.

I’m a lawyer and my wife’s a doctor—10k apiece isn’t going to meaningfully change anything for us, but, usurious as our loans may be, we’re also not crippled by them like some. The people who will be significantly helped by this REALLY need the help, and I'm glad they're gonna get it.

It’s important we keep in mind these people are not just down for the whole platform just because they're siding with Dems on a super extreme issue.

Hardcore eyeroll at The Bible being flagged for review. The Bible will be reviewed and put back on shelves, all the other stuff will get the ban hammer.
