Just how detailed are these rap songs? I feel like it’s unremarkable for rappers to discuss, in general terms, killing people who mess with their money, challenge them, or otherwise cross them. I mean, are these guys giving names, dates, locations, descriptions of murder weapons, etc.? I get that justice is lopsided,

It’s an unremarkable matter of fact that this was a mass shooting, regardless of whose definition you use. What you should be looking at is the fact that he’s being charged as a domestic terrorist, and no one is pushing back against that designation.

There is not shortage of reporting here, on the Root, or elsewhere in the media space, pointing out Ted Cruz’s litany of failures as a Senator and human being.

“I wanted a place that felt like me,”

They’re already exercising the power via all the rest of the wacky, hateful legislation they’ve been passing; however, this move feels like it’s at variance with the Republican plan of de facto banning (rather than literally/actually banning,) abortion, or, put another way, turning the heat up slowly. Kris Jenner is apparently nudging Kendall Jenner to have a baby, likely because her 2398942 current grandchildren are not enough.

Wow, just an outright ban. Not even trying to nibble at the edges or whatever, just a straight shot at Roe.

that’s what happens when Ruth Bader Ginsburg doesn’t retire while the Democrats control the Senate, and people don’t vote for Hilary Clinton.

On Friday, Rose shared a letter from 69 Republican members of Congress to Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding that the Department of Justice investigate the claims.

Spot on. It’s always perplexed me how it’s supposed to be a deterrent to this sort of behavior to have a one-size-fits-all fine rather than indexing the amount of the fine against the profits made from the violation. The only way to disincentivize this behavior is to make it unprofitable.

Brie Larson is joining the Fast & Furious franchise... babe, did you know you CAN turn down a paycheck

Elon Musk lives to snub his nose at the SEC, and the SEC is such a toothless weakling of an institution that it’s hard to believe there will be any meaningful repercussions for Musk’s rampant criminality and market manipulation. I get that billionaires operate on a parallel system, and effectively aren’t beholden to

at the very estate 2/5 of the Spice Girls just enjoyed.

Two people told me not to go to law school (both law students,) and like three or four (successful attorneys,) told me to go, but to go in eyes open (i.e., knowing that it could be a miserable bitch of a slog.) So I went.

With regard to Holmes specifically, I’m actually pretty curious to see how the prosecution of Sunny Balwani shakes out. I don’t think that what’s happened to Holmes was at all unfair, and I don’t think her prosecution or conviction are necessarily reflective of society’s misogyny (cause she did, after all, commit

Yes you are! If Kinja didn’t fuck up every animated gif I try to post, I’d have responded with the “You’re doing it, Peter!” gif from the movie “Hook”.
