That’s more or less where I’m at. I’m 100% ready to sign-on to the statement that Blunt is underpaid; but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to pay the Rock more than her.

Rampage, which came out in April of this year, and was in theaters for 15 weeks, cost $120 million to make, but raked in about $428 million worldwide—and that movie based totally reliant on the Rock’s ability to draw people in. It’s a bullshit PG-13 monster movie, starring The Rock. The closest thing to another ‘name’

The Rock is a household name; he’s basically unrivaled as a worldwide movie star right now. Emily Blunt is not—at least not as of now.

I get the ire over the Leno/Roth situation, and I’m sure they’re not the only case of that, but it has seemingly little or nothing to do with Glover and his partner.

What I get from this article is that Cuban’s decision to retain Marshall was a good decision, but that it is a bad thing that people like Marshall only ever get hired to organizations such as these to fix an embarrassing problem.

I feel like there’s a piece of information missing from this story on the bank’s end.

He’s black, male, and not a toddler—frankly, I’m happy he’s still alive. It’s a fucked up thing to say, but I wouldn’t be unbelieving or surprised if I’d heard he’d been shot to death over a candy bar. Plenty outraged, but well within the ambit of what I think its probable in this country.

You seem pretty aware of how ugly a comment this is.

And yet, someone will be offended by this. Guaranteed.

None of this bothers you?

Aw, that sucks. Cybill was so good that despite being a 12-14 year-old boy (with all the chest-puffing, faux macho/bravado, chicken hawking that that implies) I was quite vocally all about that show. Christine Baranski was so good and so damn funny on that show that it is a nigh inexplicable tragedy that she never got

A lot of aspects come into play when trying to define it, but one of the easiest is to ask if something can stand the test of time.

How am I arguing against it? I categorically agree with the underlying proposition—i.e., “we cannot say definitely that it is a good song”.

I’m in favor of the revolt.

Still tragic. This kid (I’m assuming they were under 18) did not need to die. They should not have had access to a firearm.

Or they can’t find a gun so they just stew and don’t do anything at all.

The Democrats almost without question have my vote—something extraordinary and bizarre would have to happen for me to not vote for the Democratic candidate in 2020. I can’t even think of what that would realistically be. Regardless, if it’s Abrams I will of course vote for her; same if it’s Beto; same if it’s Gillum;

That’s a pretty anodyne statement given the inherently subjective nature of the inquiry—ear of the beholder and all that (to very poorly paraphrase the aphorism about beauty). To say nothing of the fact that whether it is good or bad is wholly irrelevant to this particular piece of news.

He didn’t do anything unpredictable, surprising, or out of character that revealed him to be any different than he appeared to be.

I do not understand why we need to worry about Hart’s redemption, or Louis CK, or Al Franken, or Matt Laurer or any other recent asshat.
