My 3 year old iPhone 6 was slowing down and the battery was only giving me just over an hour of charge. I replaced the battery and to my surprise the phone sped up significantly. My Mr Robot colleague informs me that low voltage throttles modern CPUs, so yeah, maybe old batteries??
