Dave boiled it down quite nicely. Unless you’ve got a top end 4K TV with HDR and really, really care about that kind of stuff, see what software is exclusive to which service and go with that. You can’t really go wrong, but the Xbox is superior mostly for Halo, Gears, Forza, etc. PS4 has Sony’s own properties but also…

The games appear to be available on PSNow and the Xbox Gamepass if you have those or would like to pony up for a month to burn through them. WAU Volume 1 is pretty good.

The newest wave of Kirby stuff looks okay but I’m hoping for something a bit more outside the box after recent efforts. The new Yoshi has an interesting aesthetic but after the triumphant Woolly World I hope it’s still pushing in new directions instead of recapturing the same basic gameplay.

At least they had a demo and openly solicited feedback.

The way it mixes a classic aesthetic with some excellent modern touches is something other developers should take note of. Don’t just make games that look like old ones; use them as the foundation and add flourishes that make it better.

I did some digging and could not find platforms listed anywhere at this point. I’m assuming PC, but beyond that - who knows?

It is my great hope we see the release of UNTITLED GOOSE GAME this year, because my god does being a terrible jerk of a goose to some poor bloke seem like the best thing in the world.

And Wolf Among Us might be the best pure view of what a Telltale game is since Walking Dead staked their claim as narratives where you change... your character’s reaction to the story that’s going to happen one way or another.

Scream all the time goes away?

I think I would like to but I love a good deal so now I’m waiting for a price I will tolerate. I AM thinking about just giving Battlefront 2 to GameStop for $30 for something like Until Dawn and some PSN cash, though.

Think of the possibilities! Terse commands, relaxed commands, screaming fits of rage - “FIRE ON THAT MAN!” - responded to with subtle changes in execution.

And to be honest, those totals are “cute” compared to MMORPGs. I don’t doubt I spent 4-6 months of my life playing FFXI and WoW.
