I liked the voice commands in Rainbow Six 3 of all games and would like an ops-type game like that where the mission rests on your ability to read the situation and bark out orders as needed. “Flash and clear! Cover! Hold!”.

Congratulations on the baby! It’s unlike anything else in the world and I wish your family nothing but the best.

First and foremost, Mario Kart 8 on the 8th is back for the new year on the Switch! You can join with the above tourney information OR join anyone already in the match (like me!). My Switch Friend Code is 6396-2171-3331 if we’re not Switch friends yet under the handle Jarathen.

His open flame rotisserie game is beyond anything I’ve ever seen.

We know what they’re called because of marketing, not because of the film. Same with the... Vupltex, which is not at all a Pokemon name ripoff.

I mean no disrespect to anyone involved in TLJ when i say Porgs are far and away my favorite element of the film. It’s a perfect mix of comic relief and cuteness delivered, as Clayton says, organically into the films, and they never exist to make your teeth hurt with saccharine BS. They’re just fantastic little

Apparently. I had to check the Wikipedia to be sure, since I made myself scarce throughout most of the movie.

Come on, Gwen! Amber showed up something like two weeks ahead of the tutor’s scheduled arrival, which is why the tutor didn’t show up during the events of the film! At least that was my understanding.

I liked Breath of the Wild because it understood play. While it borrows from its own past and the derided “map” genre, where Zelda really excels in the way it borrows from Minecraft, letting most of the game spiral out beautifully from basic functions and systems that work well together, oftentimes in surprising and

Agreed. FE Heroes is absurdly good and strikes the perfect balance of pick up and play with enough going on to keep you interested.

Ahhh, Invisible, Inc.! I love that game! That and FTL are my two Roguelikes. So fun, and once I beat it on Normal (no easy feat) I started playing with the settings to make custom games.

FE Warriors is actually a Musou game, like Hyrule Warriors, but a large part of what makes it enjoyable is going to be your existing familiarity with most of the cast, so that’s understandable.

The great thing about the Switch is it depends on your taste. BotW, Mario Kart, Splatoon, and Mario Odyssey are the only “general” recommendations I’d make, but depending on what you like, Arms, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Fire Emblem Warriors, and others come to mind as well.

There are definitely some flourishes on Pokemon Ultra Sun (didn’t play the originals) that I figured wouldn’t work well on my original 3DS XL. It pushes the hardware and I can see how the New generation is required to get the most out of it.

I was not a fan of Mad Max movies coming into this, and it didn’t make me a fan of the others, but the movie is pure action adrenaline. The only knock I have on it is how tame it makes other car chases. The stuff they pulled off in this movie is incredible, and even seeing how the “Witness” moment of Morzov suiciding,

As open as BotW is, it still had a gently suggested course, and I think it generally winds up with Gerudo as the last Divine Beast region.

So busy, so busy all the time. This weekend will be spent shuttling Intern Flam to LEGO League events, including Regionals, so I’ll be bringing my 3DS with me to put some more time into Pokemon Ultra Sun. It’s always interesting to see who crops up to balance your team early on. If you’d told me Grubbin and Wingull

HOW IS PAGANPOET IN THE GRAYS?!

When I’m not preparing Thanksgiving dinner (starting with The Brining tonight), serving Thanksgiving dinner, cleaning up after Thanksgiving dinner, or redecorating the house for Christmas, I’ll be playing Pokemon Ultra Sun, my first foray to the Alola region. I snatched up the Steelbook dual edition last Thursday so
