I have lived with my partner for nearly three years now (we’ve been together for nearly five), and we share finances. It makes sense to. Taxes in the UK are at income point (so we don’t share tax returns and never will, if that makes sense), but otherwise everything is shared. For us, it didn’t make any sense not to

Maybe it’s different in my house because we don’t have kids haha teenagers are truly annoying, I salute your patience with them.

Awesome, thanks for this! I’ll have a crack at making them then try them out at the gym - I’m never there for very long (an hr, max, because I get bored haha) so even if I have an ultra heavy flow they shouldn’t leak :)

This sounds like an awesome solution to working out on my period. I hate running with a tampon in because I always feel like it’s going to jiggle free (that sounds so gross, but the struggle is real, damnit!) and wearing a pad running results in the damn thing going up my butt and getting full of sweat. So perhaps

I really don’t know who all these useless men are that these people are crying about. Yes, sometimes my boyfriend forgets an appointment, but so do I! That’s why Google calendar exists! We do a very equal share of house work, with him probably doing more (he works a four on, four off pattern at work) and we both pop

But like...does that mean you have to carry multiple pants in your bag? And then carry bloodsoaked pants around in your bag? I just...this seems gross :/ I’m all for periods being a topic of conversation, and these could be good if you have a light flow (like...need one pad a day kinda flow) but otherwise I am just

Dunno, two of my best friends are men. I am a lady. So... I hang out with them and stay over at theirs on a regular basis (they live in different cities from me). My boyfriend knows them both well and knows there is no threat there. Similarly, my boyfriend will hang out with his female friends. It's just not wierd for

... What? You are joking, right? People need their own friends and space, and sometimes those friends are of the opposite gender/the gender they happen to be interested in.

I really do believe shops should be closed on major holidays/events. Like who actually needs to go shopping on Thanksgiving (or Christmas or Easter or whenever!). Honestly, do your damn planning.

Ahahahaha I just burst out laughing at the office and now have to pretend it was because of an amusing tidbit on the solar industry. Curse you! :p

I read “no lusting after the flesh” and “no lusting after the fish” and thought your teacher just really didn’t like sushi or something :/

Pft, Mandarin, get it right :p (I actually would want my child to learn Mandarin, but only because I want to live in Beijing again and it would be awesome :) and I think kids should know more than one language)

I really like the lightsaber ones haha XD but for like...comic con (and maybe being nerdy around the house hehehe). But I totally get they are not everyone’s jam.

I wish I had curly hair. Or straight hair. Instead I have wavy white girl hair, which is basically masses and masses and masses of very fine hair that has to be layered a million times otherwise it just takes over my head. Oh, and it gets greasy super quickly. And then is kinda straight for the first half then begins

Good foundation, a good haircut, manicured eyebrows, and killer mascara. The no makeup makeup look. If you get a haircut that looks awesome but requires little styling (I currently have mia Wallace hair, for instance XD ) it makes such a difference.

They’ve changed this now, FYI, and you can share the leave between both partners :) Statutory pay is crap (like...we would sink on it and we don’t have that many expenses) but hopefully larger employers will start offering the same packages to men and women for parental leave.

Where I work has break away lanyards because of the possibility of getting stuck in a machine or something in the labs. I don’t go in the labs (my fob doesn’t even let me in them), but it does come in handy when I accidentally get it stuck on a door handle or a chair and nearly kill myself (I am quite clumsy -_-;;)

You had dial up in 2008?! Where did you live?? I haven’t had dial up since like...2003, and that was only because it was SO expensive to switch in Switzerland...

Also, I too miss when the internet was fun. Now it is used as this huge tool for basically bullying people, and this makes me sad :/

Yeah I know :/ but I was told by my doc I can’t donate as I lived in the USA. So... Meh, I’ll keep my tainted blood haha

I’m not entirely sure, I just know I can’t donate :/ I did ask, as did my mum recently, and no go. I guess increased risk for exposure to different diseases or something? If you’ve just been on vacation it’s fine, it’s that I lived there for an extended period.
