I always found them to be edgey from a standstill due to the heavy clutch assembly weightwise and small diameter, it weighs in the neighborhood of 18lb and is about 6" in diameter when coupled with the rev happy engine even when trying to start gently in first you find yourself slipping the clutch at 4500-5500 rpm.
