There’s no reason the increase in women in leadership roles couldn’t have been mostly in editorial. That would likely have been one of the easier areas to find a lot of women…

I would expect the increase to be larger in some departments and smaller in others. In editorial, it would be easy to hire women to fill roles. In technical areas, maybe not. When I worked for Britannica, editorial had significantly more women.
