At least at Ford, they’ve been very clear that despite the good economy, the operating margin (currently around 4%?) has been shrinking over the past 5+years. Unfortunately, it seems like most of that is in product development.

Reality is no one wants to work these days and think they should make top dollar for doing nothing.
Same. Plus I can’t find (women’s) pants long enough to cover my ankles in the winter.
ESPECIALLY when folks with long hair have a ponytail or bun going on. I love my Colorado’s VERY straight rear headrests, but I end up having to recline my front seat a little more so that I don’t have my hair elastic trying to embed itself into my scalp.
My partner is 6'5". I understand your struggle. At 5'11" myself, I have a hard time sitting comfortably in some cars, especially when the seat bottoms have no tilt adjustment and putting the seat low down ends up tipping me so far forward I slide off the front.
what parents have been telling their kids for years: soda is not your friend
Just because you fall asleep (I think “doze off for a second” is counted in that figure), doesn’t mean you’ll crash or die.
Which is EXACTLY why I’d like to have semi-autonomous driving out of customers hands and not be given back until it’s full level-5 autonomy.
Not only that, but sometimes I don’t want to share my fancy beer! There was a 4 can limit on that release--I’m not giving you two goons half of my nice beer.
They already went down from 3 shifts to 2 shifts and they’re currently at 1 shift. It was a logical move, it’s just not the conclusion for that plant.
Ohio was never the problem (I think that’s the only time I’ll ever say that), it was the cars that plant produced.
I think you’re reading the right things from this. Jalopnik isn’t GM’s biggest fan and nothing is going to change that.
That sucks. Is there a recycling facility in the area that’s available to use? Pain in the butt? Yes. Better than throwing everything in the trash? Probably also yes.
I’m sorry! I’m Canadian. Can’t help it!
I think this falls under the same umbrella as “why not throw everything into recycling and let them figure it out when it gets there” and that umbrella’s Achilles’ heel is cost. Curbside programs rely on consumers to make their best effort at home to reduce costs on the programs’ ends.
Aww, thanks!
Oh he got dem.
He is TERRIFIED of vacuums.
One of my favourite spots to scratch. They’re so soft!
They get him out of a LOT of trouble.
