Came here to gripe about the obsession with AWD in America, thanks for doing it for me.
I used to own a 2010 Civic (FWD). I tossed a set of snow tires on it and it shredded all winter in Michigan. I drove a Gen2 Volt for a couple of winters. FWD + snow tires was just fine. Americans seem to want to use AWD as an excuse…
The Toledo plant did not make that commercial.
It’s so much worse for Jeep forgetting the UP being that they’re a MI brand.
I live in metro Detroit and my fiance got the wheel and tire package when he leased an ATS with low-profile run-flats. I think the package was near $800?
He went through 3 wheels and 16 (yes, SIXTEEN) tires in a little over two years on our shitty roads. Not all the tires were complete blow-outs, but when you get a…
My work routine hasn’t changed much at all. I’ve been coming into work almost every day since April utilizing test tracks, test vehicles, and other test assets I can’t drive on public roads (or at least for maneuvers I can’t do on public roads).
I definitely agree that the 1st gen Volt wasn’t practical for a lot of people. It just hurts my heart when people equate the 2nd gen to the 1st because the 2nd gen is a MUCH better car.
You experience attempting to lease a 1st gen Volt has nothing to do with finding a used 2nd gen to buy, though.
If only there was a way to buy cars secondhand...
So you want an extended-range EV.... Like a Chevy Volt.
I like this take. My fiance has been stuck at home and I’ve been working in-person since April—for both of us, the hardest thing about this is not being able to go out to do things and see people. He’s going crazy being stuck in the house, but admits that he would enjoy full-time (or at least most-of-the-time) WFH if…
The only thing I miss from my 2010 Civic is how easy it was to replace the cabin air filter. My current vehicle (2016 Colorado) is a massive pain in the ass when it comes to this task.

I got Kinja’d....Nunavut also had the bear-shaped plates for a bit. The new ones are still really cool, though.
And Nunavut!
Not trying to be pedantic, but smallpox doesn’t exist outside of labs anywhere.
Smallpox and rinderpest have both been globally eradicated.
Right...they are technically articles and not ads...which is why I called them ads-disguised-as-articles and pointed out that ad blockers do not block them.
It’s not just ads though! I am running and ad blocker (107 blocked on this page so far), but ad blockers do nothing for the ads-disguised-as-articles (AKA everything from the Inventory).
It’s not the redesign that angers me, it’s the ads-disguised-as-articles taking up a decent portion of the front page that really makes the redesign suck.
