For sure... And I love me some camp. I'd happily watch Krull and Flash Gordon any day. But if you, like me, are more inclined towards the vision presented in the first Conan movie, it's easy to be bitter and dislike the second film for "ruining" the franchise. Especially since Milius wanted to stay on and make it a

Thank you guys! I'm an avid listener!

OH MY GOD!!!!! Can't wait!

The movie is a great distillation of what makes Conan great. I think it's a perfect adaptation of the character, more so than any particular short story. If Milius had ever done a sequel, I would have wanted him to have taken Conan south, and done the whole Pirate/Behelith thing. :)

Some people like the second one better because of the camp value. Myself and many others adore the first one because it treats the subject matter seriously and tries to make a genuine fantasy movie.

I adore John Milius film.... Conan just rocks! And what a sweeping soundtrack, seeing Arnie riding across the plains accompanied by Basil Poledouris incredible score is just awesome. Milius believed in the material and delivered a movie of conviction and integrity.

FFX is the jump the shark moment for Final Fantasy art direction.

Amen. I loathe that FF became a walking fashion show rather than the domain for epic and imaginative adventure.

Nope. Most artists get better the longer they work. Nomura's taste went down the gutter however...

He ruined the look of Final Fantasy. He should be chastised.

Hear hear! Amen. Square Enix, if you are reading this. Let Nomura work on something else, non FF related.

I hate Nomura's art style, but he did draw good monsters. He should have stayed there.

Nomura has established the art direction for the entire franchise. And it is an AWFUL look.

Amen!

I hate Nomura's art style. His look is one of the things that has ruined FF.

It boggles the mind that we might end up flying the B-52 for almost a 100 years.

Anime is that thing that used to be cool before Japan went bankrupt and their national confidence went down the drain, producing a generation of insecure young men.

This looks awesome! Like an african Tarkovsky movie. Definitely gonna watch. :)

Okay, so you don't like the controls. So what? It's not like you're dodging bullets or stomping giants in the game.

That would be Mark Millar's "Starlight" you're after!! Flash Gordon meets Unforgiven.
