“I’m a Knicks and Mets fan, and he is not.”
That makes you twice the masochist I am.

I am a Knicks fan.... He’s definitely not a GOOD owner. As far as the Rangers go, I guess even a broken clock is right twice a day. But he runs the Knicks TERRIBLY. I guess he is better than the Wilpons, but he’s definitely up there for shitty owners, at least where basketball is concerned.

excellently put, that sums up a lot of my takeaway as well.

Somehow, Brent Barry is to blame.

I can’t wait until the Rays-Marlins World Series in 2543 and all you haters have to eat all your dumb snark about how bad Florida based MLB teams are.

I’ve never seen more than 8 people at the Trop even when the team is good so that feels like an issue

Yeah, I looked it up after I posted (smart move on my part). Seems weird that it happens at the start of the 11th season instead of the end of his 10th.

His 10 and 5 weren’t set to kick in until mid-April. This was their last chance to trade him when he had no say.

Also, the Rays are going nowhere fast in an incredibly tough division. This makes sense for a whole host of reasons.

I have nothing to back this up but I think Longoria asked to be traded to a possible contender and the Rays obliged while protecting the face of the franchise. Unless he specifically gave it up in his contract, Longoria should have 10 and 5 rights and could block this trade if he wanted to.

The Rays got four guys for one. Seems like a pretty sweet deal.

Aren’t the Deadspin offices located in Brooklyn? I’m not normally one to rag on you guys for minor factual errors, but this one is kinda amusing considering y’all work on the dang island.

Fun Fact; the Islanders’ original logo showed only Nassau and Suffolk county on the island and left off Brooklyn and Queens all together, the “I” actually points to where the Coliseum was.

Brooklyn is part of the land mass where they began(i.e. Brooklyn is part of Lawn Guyland). No matter what those in Brooklyn say. ;)

The C plot should have all taken place on the First Order’s ship, although it would have felt very New Hope-y. New Mos Eisley didn’t work. They could have had underpaid labor on the ship for their little social commentary moment. If your whole movie is about a ship that is stuck in space, why can they leave the ship

If you watch him on the regular, he is a pretty remarkable cat...not just his level of play, but his unselfishness, and his ability to be cocky without being arrogant. He can drop 40 points but in the walkoff interview he’ll shift the discussion to call out a teammate for a clutch rebound or whatever. His reputation

living in Portland I can attest that Dame is a really good dude, active in the community (especially the public schools), hosts many events for kids, a great citizen who appreciates where he’s gotten. The Blazers are very much a community conscious organization, being the only pro team during the winter and spring and

Marshawn. Damian. They’re both from Oakland, yo.

I’m certainly biased, but I think he brings a positive and unique representation to NBA players, and I like him a lot.

Luke growing and changing is fine. Luke contemplating killing his nephew in his sleep is not fine. There is no context for that. If you are going to change someone that much you better provide context. Maybe cut out the unnecessary Canto Bite and the three retelling of the same event (I love Rashamon but the retelling
