I meant spooky in a supernatural sense. You’re right. Rose heard what she wanted to hear. But the fortune teller only made the comment(to herself) about the black dress after Rose had left the shop. I took it to mean this fortune teller actually has the power to glimpse the future.

I was pretty sad about Chidi’s mind wipe. But it begs a couple of questions going forward.

I still get a little verklempt when I think about the look on his face when Alex called him “My best friend in the whole world.” Then he follows it up with “I am that guy.”   Amazing stuff.

When describing her dad to Susie right after the Catskills show, Midge said he was a 60 year old man. I think at this point in the show it’s 1959. That would make Abe about 42 when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. It also makes him 18 when the Russian revolution happened.

After Rose left, the fortune tellers last line in the opening was kind of spooky.

I too was wondering if they had stand-up comics in the writers room. It would be fun if they created a one-off comedy special of Rachel Brosnahan doing stand-up as Midge.

The acting in this show is amazing. I was wondering if the actor playing Joel had gotten better this year, but maybe, like you point out, Joel is becoming more likable. I was also racking my brain trying to figure out where I’d seen the actor playing Dr. Ben when it hit me, it’s Chuck!

It might be a good thing to have Pelosi as speaker for the next couple of years. She’s already a big target of the Republicans so why not let her take the blows leading up to 2020? Then she can gracefully step down or retire shortly before the election but after Republicans waste millions in negative ads against her.
