The concern is that it could end up disclosing information that you did not wish to disclose at that time or possibly ever. An example might be if someone else sees a pride-themed ad on the feed of someone who may not be out, it could raise questions.

The idea being that traditionally oppressed groups that have only recently achieved acceptability on those on the verge can backslide. In non-abortion states, stuff like this has already been used to catch people getting abortions. These lists are forever so if anything you like or “are” ends up becoming unacceptable…

I get it, how many new stories can you really tell with a character that’s been in thousands over the course of only a decade (like Kamala), much less ones that have been around for multiple decades or damn near a century?

This is a reviled run of Spider-Man, and it’s legitimate baffling that they’ve given the “Women in Refrigerators” treatment to Kamala in the year 2023.
