ok. and what’s the average ransomware demand? as i understand it, the demand’s often in cryptocurrency, and who knows what that’s worth on any given day...

Who says they haven’t already? In fact I heard some guy plugged some VR goggles into it, entered a room PornHub and Facebook’s Metaverse are secretly collaborating on, and both his head and his junk exploded. What a way to go...

I may be in the minority here, but part of me is rooting for the GoodWill hackers. I’m not saying I’d join them (very illegal and I’m risk averse, plus I have pretty much zero hacking skills), but... just imagine if their only targets were people like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Trump. I have no real idea how they

I s’pose it would depend on how much they wanted in ransom vs. how big the medical bill is, but yeah, good point.

Titled Elon Musk’s Crash Course, the film analyzes how Musk responded to accidents involving his carmaker’s Autopilot system, which has been a...

Just a friendly reminder that disinformation, bots, etc... it doesn’t all come from Russia. I’m sure we’re generating plenty of it here in the US *cough* Tucker Carlson *cough* and in other countries as well.

100% - in fact it makes living in the US even worse. And this goes for all citizens, even citizens by birth. (ok I suppose it grants ICE agents a lot in the way of job security, but SCREW THEM; they can all get fucked by rabid porcupines.)

fwiw, I have absolutely no legal or constitutional expertise but I starred/approved your comment because you sound like you know what you’re talking about, I think your stance should at least be seen and considered, and also ok sure, fuck Elon Musk (and, by extension, Tesla) always and forever.

I don’t know much of anything about buying/selling stocks, but I wondered that too. If Musk offers shareholders (substantially?) more than what shares are currently valued at, I imagine *most* would take him up on his offer, but ALL? Maybe he wouldn’t need all 100%, maybe he’d only need 51%, but that’s not what he’s

I’m not an expert by any means, but a couple of broad reasons come to mind immediately, and frankly should be obvious to anyone giving it even a few seconds of thought:

Nuclear power plants? Absolutely, I can get behind that.

oh dear :(

I mean I’m kinda inclined to say we should turn big box stores into smoking craters (Walmart first, natch) but sure, I guess solar farms would be a big step in the right direction.

it’s been awhile so my memory is vague, but I remember enjoying it but it didn’t taste all that savory or anything, maybe like with so many other foods the key is how you season it. And I don’t recall any yucky oily texture or aftertaste, but maybe that’s due to it being cooked properly? I also don’t remember it

I’m not trying to spread the carnivore/non-vegan gospel when I say this, but I’ve actually tried a camel burger and it was pretty good. Healthier than a beef burger (maybe much healthier) although what isn’t?

What, and reduce Apple’s obscene profit margins somewhat? That’s crazy talk. You’re crazy.

Unions or not, Amazon will almost certainly switch to 100% robot warehouse... (what term should I use here: workers? staff? syndicate maybe?) as soon as it’s feasible and (more) profitable than exploiting human beings

Probably, yeah. And given how by this point pretty much all of us Americans are Amazon customers, that’s quite a pool of potential Ring customers!
