... recognize the quite obvious fact...

He entered the crosswalk when the sign was already flashing, which you are not supposed to do.

I only saw him walking when the walk sign is flashing yellow; in that case he totally has the right of way.

I live in a neighborhood that not only has a lot of traffic, but drivers who drive like maniacs/sociopaths. As a pedestrian, sometimes it doesn’t seem to matter if I’ve got the green light; I may still get mowed down by someone acting like making the turn RIGHT NOW is more important than my life, or they’re in a 2 ton

Based on that, I’d take SpaceX over Boeing/Lockheed, although I can’t say I’m really that up on space exploration or the probably very complicated economics of it, so I should probably reserve judgment.

But singling out Musk’s companies like he’s the worst offender and calling him a supervillain is nonsensical.

no thanks, i’ve had my fill

My personal favorite:

These all sound sexy, and some of them may be helpful, but I think it’s a mistake to rely too much on (physical) science to solve our problems. Physical science can make cars more energy efficient, but it can’t prevent people from buying the biggest gas guzzler they can afford. I think we also need laws and changes to

ok, but no new articles, and I can’t check my notifications. At this point Splinter is a zombie at best.

excellent points.

I get what you’re saying, and I suppose if anyone deserves to be insulted and dragged based on their appearance, it’s him. But I’m not sure what purpose that serves beyond temporary catharsis. If clowning on him led to him quitting his job, or even moderating his worse impulses, then I guess I’d be all for it.

:)

I find all this focusing on appearances and trivial shit really tiresome and counterproductive - and I mean across the board. I don’t really care how bad Trump looks; if he had the brains and politics of, say, Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren, I’d support him. There are plenty of unattractive people who are total

yeah, “Florida Man” is dangerous enough when he’s not an elected official :(
