Sure, but this is shitty politics and punditry too. He shot himself in the foot, apparently didn’t feel anything, and then shot himself again, several more times. Just stunning to witness from anyone as powerful as Giuliani was (I don’t think he’s even held political power in awhile, at least not as an elected

“[The Muslim ban is] based on places where there are substantial evidence that people are sending terrorists into our country,” he said.

GODDAMN. Do I expect this kind of incompetence from our Philanderer In Chief? Of course. Do I expect lies and 9/11 prattle from Giuliani, and little else? Sure I do. But I don’t expect this kind of incompetence from Giuliani. It’s beyond sloppy; it’s like he dove straight for every mud puddle and rolled around in

While “I’m with her” may not be the worst slogan ever, it says nothing at all about policy (as I think you alluded to) so people have to have a much better idea of what “her” stands for. And apparently a lot of people couldn’t get past their vague distaste/distrust for her, so clearly it wasn’t enough, and I think

Of course we shouldn’t be mean to kids; I don’t care if they’re (nominally) Jehovah’s Witnesses, Moonies, or *gasp* Republicans. I mean the adults - the ones who seem to consistently use the hard sell. At best, they get a “no thanks, not interested” and the door shut on them. At worst? Well:

The trick with this stuff is short and clear. When you add a second clause you start risking giving space for Republicans to start muddying the water...

I get that, but:

You’re right, and I should know better than to (try to) correct someone when I’m wrong, yet here we are... Confusing that according to the article I shared (or at least how I understand it), LLCs can opt to *be* “Partnership Corporations” or “S Corporations” or whatever, and as you said, they’re *treated* as

I mean, inappropriate advances / groping women is not a “tremendously decent” thing to do. I think I get what you’re saying: as far as his job - the thing they pay him for - goes, he’s still “a man of tremendous decency and integrity.” Even there, he’s probably more of a talking head than a journalist, and I’m sure

I figured you must have meant something along those lines, and I couldn’t agree more.

Never understood this point.

Thanks :) Once again, confirmation that my sarcasm detector is working pretty well, all things considered.

You’re both right and wrong (apparently - I had to look it up).

You had me until “whether those rights are also good for society is moot” - why is it moot? It’s probably an issue of semantics, but to me their rights are the opposite of moot; per your example, I think it’s pretty important whether payday lenders can gouge people, or to what degree.

Just in case you’re not being sarcastic: no. uh uh. At this point Rich Little is as boring and toothless as Bingo Night at the VFW.

Goddammit. I’m this close to creating a petition on change.org to strip the word “Waffle” from Waffle House. Waffles are delicious, and I’m tired of them getting dragged through the mud; they should be dragged through butter, whipped cream and syrup.

Now playing

OH IT’S BETTER THAN OK, BEST BELIEVE THAT

You’re much closer to the truth than Calvinballer, but take out the “home-office” qualifier and there are more like 2.6 million employed by the insurance industry:

Ugh... that was awful. Wasn’t funny then, and hasn’t aged well either. I don’t think i’ll ever understand the appeal of Norm MacDonald. Stephen Colbert SLAYED, and Seth Meyers and Hasan Minhaj were great too, but Norm has always been mediocre at best.
