You're right, those are good criticisms I'd probably enjoy reading. It works to point out lyrics that have a terrible message, too, as he seems to attempt here, but he doesn't get into the details of what's wrong with what the song is saying at all. I think my problem is more that Hatesongs, though they're supposed

I think that sentiment applies to pretty much all the Hatesong articles, and is why it never works. The haters just get wayyy too into it and come off obnoxious themselves for focusing so much energy on a dumb pop song.

I'm imagining you're saying this like Kathy Geiss.

In elementary school, someone broke into our classroom and stole the computers. They were replaced with the round, colorful Macs, which had Bugdom loaded on them and everyone in the class became obsessed with it.

I doubt anyone will see this but I just gotta put this out there: Bernadette totally reminded me of Jenny Slate's Ruth Diamond Phillips from Kroll Show. They've got a similar fashion sense, and, of course, voice. https://deecrowseer.files.w…

He's fine, you know how he submits to his environment.

Eh, I felt it was kind of a letdown after months of waiting. But I also missed the cold open and I do love Gina, so maybe if that had been my welcome back to series I'd have liked it that much more. I'm sick of the "character talks shit/does something embarrassing and then they scramble to cover it up but the truth

Kind of like the movie, it's not excellent but not bad. The subject carries the book far, and I do appreciate the scope and what must have been exhaustive research. Was it just me or did the jumping around in time when focusing on different people confuse you too?

Oh also, the writer says growing up, she just assumed science was a black profession because of her father and his NASA coworkers, so black scientists are ordinary to her but extraordinary to many other people.

I just finished Hidden Figures recently, and it is kind of an accurate description of one of the overarching themes of the book. Like it was extraordinary that there was a substantial group of black women working in math/engineering during a time when married women working at all raised eyebrows, and when the state

Have you really never heard of Gildan? I feel like Gildan and Hanes beefy T's are like the go-to brand for those scratchy free T-shirts everyone instinctively wants but doesn't actually need. Also I believe Gildan bought out American Apparel recently.

School lunches in San Francisco also had bagged milk for a time in the 90s, and I remember there always being spilled milk on the schoolyard from kids shooting them at each other, or jumping on the bag to make it pop, or just not being skilled enough to stick a straw in the bag without spilling any/without it going

Are plastic bags harder to recycle though or something? At least in the US, recycling programs for rigid plastics are much more common than those for soft plastics (e.g. bags, cellophane, etc). Or maybe it's a problem with demand.

And discuss The Handmaid's Tale.

Thank you for being the second comment and explaining this, I seriously thought it was like a "miscellaneous tasks" intern position and he wanted someone with both construction and proposal writing experience.

Oh yeah, that was pretty intense, I kept having to pause it every so often and pace because I was so scared for Rachel McAdams's character. I remember loving the fairytale-esque, Cinderella-at-the-ball music/look they had when she was escaping the orgy mansion.

Oh that makes more sense :'(

There really is though, biodiversity is being lost through habitat loss/degradation, pollution, climate change, invasive species, etc. This includes not just species going extinct, but also species whose populations have shrunk or been broken up (by urban development or whatever) and are suffering a loss of genetic

Hey! Me too! That shit was crazy. Also fascinating. Also gross, but hard to look away from. The actress who played Justine was amazing.
