Not sure where you’re getting your mileage estimates for older ones. 2002 automatic-15, 2005 Rubi manual -17 (both with 35 inch tires). 80 CJ-23, 79 CJ-5 (V-8)........I’ve had about 15 of them from 47 on up.

I know this is an old thread, love reading it, though. I just got an 87 HMMWV and love the thing. No CTIS, no turbo, no a/c, no CD player. One of my favorite vehicles ever, and this from someone who has had some weird, although not Ferrari-expensive, vehicles.
