Just dont watch it expecting anything normal. This is as if Hannibal had a baby with Crank and a buddy-cop comedy about a deadbeat dad.

Wow!
Wow... I have the utmost respect for Colbert after this. Less for the people that arranged this interview.
You are a joke.
How did you know I dislike graphophones.
no... you went too far. I was thinking prior to being a cop he was a tabloid writer.
We hold movie reviewers to higher standards then US President’s. Hah. Hahahaha. Hahahahahahaha. We are in the end times.
What’s Mike Coulter there for! We getting a powerman cameo in Black Panther? Holy shit that’d be epic.
I now need to see these two in a buddy comedy of some sort... I see it now... Dinklage joining the police force after retiring as a writer... now wanting to do good. Morgan Freeman is about to retire after being stuck in a beat cop position for 30-40 years. All about how Dinklage wants to do good and Freeman wants to…
well they look bad.
Holy shit... I never knew of this... considering how much people talk about it you’d think a major counter point such as this would be discussed all the time too.
I too naturally assumed she’s bitter over Titanic. From what I hear... (a friend of mine’s mom worked backstage on that film) she was uh... very eager to please people to get ahead. However, since then... her comments on the experience have gotten steadily worse as time goes on, and she went from “enjoyed it…
I’d say seasons 1-4 of B5 are better scifi than anything except S7-8 of DS9, and seasons 1-2 of BSG.
I don’t know if I’d say TNG was a better overall show actually. I enjoyed it more, but mostly because Shatner wasn’t there. I found Picard to be a very frustrating lead character for a show. In some ways that was good, but he was written inconsistently... again, it was some of the side actors that really made that…
Well not missing much imo. Neither of those two were very good. Voyager RUINED the Borg and wasted the Maquis. Enterprise... was just eh... until it the final season when they went for more long form story-telling.
I can’t stand Shatner, and I found a lot of aspects of TOS to be excruciatingly bad/ignorant. Maybe it was good for its time, but not when I saw it. Only reason to watch TOS in my opinion is for Spock (who is great anywhere), Doc, and Scotty. Its why I barely watch any of the good Star Trek movies before the TNG era…
He didn’t do the old AVclub reviews on DS9? I could have sworn...
jeez now I’m off by two years too? It’s the mengele effect in action! He did? I’ve been assuming that this ST Discovery is of the same universe considering the physical changes to the Klingons.
the complaints of DS9's first two (some say three) seasons revolve around how slow that show is. Yet it grew into one of the most loved (if divisive) Star Trek shows out there. Now comes a show with a very similar tone with much less patience. To me it comes off as a bit over eager now... but that might be because we…
I assume every event in Enterprise is not canon until otherwise directly referenced. The reason I do this is the temporal war would have changed things enough that 2011's Star Trek wouldn’t have existed in the first place... no? Or do people not consider Star Trek to be canon for the Tv-verse like every other movie…
