omg this has been the worst week

Imagine, just imagine if Dr Ford had behaved like this, how would this have worked out for her?

Yeah, I’m fine with that.

I can believe that Kavanaugh was drunk enough, and sexual assault was common enough, that this life changing event for Dr Ford was just a blip on his radar and he forgot about it, because that’s what entitled boys get to do.

And she repeated several times that she took a while to get a lawyer because she didn’t understand why she’d need one. She only got a lawyer after many many people told her she needed to.

This is the worst version of “I am Spartacus” I can think of.

I got annoyed at their speeches at first, but then I realise they’re giving her time to collect her thoughts and encouraging her. I can respect that. I still wish they’d yielded their time to Klobuchar and Harris though.

Amy Klobuchar has been pretty wonderful.

Yep. She out-prosecutes the prosecutor.

But that same prosecutor won’t be interrogating Kavanaugh.

I feel sick watching her, and I don’t even have a history of having been assaulted. But this reminds me of every single time a man has made me feel small, has tried to intimidate me, has been condescending to me.

These children are exploited. This is the TV version of pre-teen Youtube stars and none of this is OK.

This is why I’m really skeptical about the growing “Youtube star” trend. So many of these kids are completely unprotected by their parents - in some cases, the parents are the ones pushing unhealthy stuff on them. There are even fewer safeguards there than in TV or movie studios, and we know that kids are not well…

So many impeachment, so little time.

The Trump base is the audience. They want to secure the base, not convince anyone new, as they’re betting on 1) strengthening the racist rapist apologist vote and 2) suppress the liberal vote.

Don’t bring his kids into this. It’s not their fault, and they have no agency in the whole story.
