What confuses me about it is that it’s a word made to be gender-neutral in Egnlish, but a gender-neurtral word already existed in English: “Latin”. What’s wrong with it?

I don’t read that as anti-vaxxer at all. She basically says: vaccines work; big pharma shouldn’t have free reign, we need government regulation of medicines. That seems pretty common sense to me.

I honestly thought he had endorsed her last week already.

It also serves as an answer to the people asking why the USA isn’t joining the Syrian and Russian governments in their war against ISIS: because they’re actually hunting down civilians and journalists instead of ISIS.

I don’t know what “the USA” as a unique entity wants, but we clearly have here some citizens who want to make the bloodshed stop, and are using whatever means are at their disposal to do so. So maybe get off your high horse for half a second, and if you also want the blooshed to stop, try seeing what you can do with

Jia, you’re great, I’ll miss you.

Wouldn’t it technically be treason to declare war on a sitting, democratically elected President?

Welp, please remember some of us look at this website on our breaks at work! Keep the images SFW please!

Starred for best summary of the Syrian war I’ve seen in months.

And the additionally creepy implication that the women of a country are the exclusive property of the men of that country.

He owns two, just in Scotland.

That’s what my hair used to look/feel like... but I can see the issue with not wanting to risk the feeling for too long. It took me over a year between hearing of the method and feeling like I wanted too give it a try, so I’m definitively not in a place to judge!

Came here to say the same. Sure, the fence could have been higher, the mom could have watched her kid closer*, etc. But once that poor kid was being held by a gorilla, there genuinely was no choice.

Sorry, I wasn’t clear - your hair won’t be gross for six weeks unless you’re part of that 1%, it will be “meh”at worse. It’s easier for you and your hair to slow down shampoo first, instead of stopping cold turkey, then replace it with baking soda and apple cider vinegar, and slow down that afterwards too.

Another member of the club! I try to bring this up every time I hear a conversation about shampoo, because I seriously wish I had known about it waayy earlier. It could have saved me so much money and worries back when money was tight...

I’m sorry, that sucks! I guess you’re in the 1% :(

Brushing properly is about making sure that:

Your hair is oily because you wash it too much. The oils your body creates are there for a reason, they keep your hair healthy. The more you wash it off, the more your body goes in overdrive to compensate. Try using less shampoo, maybe just once a week, but still rinse it with clear water every day and brush properly.

Is this a good place to talk about the hippy hair routine that changed my life?

Thank you for writing Reeve Steenkamp’s name in the title.
