This was a great read. Thank you for sharing, thank you Jezebel for publishing it. I’d love to see more stuff like this on here.

Maybe we need to start mapping them then? Where is it?

They found the perfect name for that store. I want to go there!

I’m the opposite actually - I used to defend him a lot, but the age difference is starting to make me judge him pretty hard. I want him to be one of the good guys, not those who just only keep women the same age, no matter how old he gets.

I feel she’s a lot more articulate than him, actually.

I want him to take her name. Rob Chyna. That would be just beautiful.

Not to mention, you can’t have free access to abortion if you have to pay for it and you’re poor. It’s an extra hardship that many people can’t afford. So yay for taxpayer-funded abortions!

Naaa, she’ll be fine, she’s probably just about to cash in all the sweet rape money that all women are entitled to after accusing someone of rape.

Our standards are pretty low, but I’m glad someone met them at least. I hope one day we can even raise the bar a little.

As soon as a woman has a drop of alcohol in her blood, she becomes an unreliable witness. As soon as a man has a drop of alcohol in his blood, he becomes “not fully in control of himself” and therefore excusable for anything. It’s magic.

I’m missing what was outrageous about the tweets. This is a real danger they’re warning about, and this is much nicer than the way I would put it which is “OMG, you are such morons if you think crossing a border makes you all special”.

Yeah, I’ve been doing some googling, and I just can’t find a single source in French about this guy and whatever he wrote for Charlie. Granted, Charlie isn’t available online, so that very piece would not surface, but seriously everything I can find from/about him is in English. It very much feels like he wrote a

Croissants are delicious though.

They’re teaching a lot of absolute garbage, that’s for sure, though a lucky few will have teachers that will deviate from the official program and be a lot more truthful.

Because that’s not how they see it. They don’t see immigrants as a sign of colonial history, they see it as people from a different culture invading. There is a collective mental block around the French colonial history as “something people did in the old days, but now we’re better than that, so it’s not on us.” Yes,

While I agree France has its fair share of dicks, and unfortunately often exports them, I really don’t think the country is “shuttering”.

My (many) native English friends living in Québec and PEI would probably like to beg to differ. You seem to have a strong opinion that the French language and French culture (not actually the same thing btw) are in decline. Why is that?

They don’t care about the former colonies, they care about a certain image they have of themselves. I’m not defending it, to be clear, I find that law heinous. However, that’s a significant difference if you want to undertsand the root of the story.

But *he thinks* he is trying to liberate them. He won’t (actually, any muslim woman who is really opporssed and doesn’t want to wear a head scarf has more chances of liberating herself than anything this guy can do), but I think he genuinely thinks that’s what he’s doing.

“The French have an unhealthy obsession with what Muslim women do, wear or fuck.”
