Oh you’ll get him back. But first, he’s going to get a near-max contract from the Knicks, where he’ll be the fourth corner of Phil’s triangle offense. After sitting patiently on the bench for the first three months of the season, when Carmelo takes a game off to rest (because taking all the team’s shots is

Takes! Get ‘em while they’re hot!

Is it too hard to do a ‘Six Feet Under’ comprehensive conclusion more often? I understand that SFU executed (no pun intended) its ending perfectly, and it fit within the rhythym of the show, but it doesn’t change the fact that comprehensive, conclusive endings reward the audience for being invested in characters for

“ you probably spend a good amount of time these days fielding angry phone calls and quietly wondering how hard it is, really, to just fake your own death and disappear.”

Stop the presses +1

Does JR Smith know/act like he’s a fourth option? I suspect not. I can’t decide if it’s more dangerous if JR is hot or cold. If he’s hot, he’ll shoot every time he touches the ball because he knows it’ll go in. If he’s cold, he’ll shoot every time he touches the ball to get out of the slump.

I’m confused. Why do none of the screenshots look like this?

1) Does this disprove the need for the Rooney rule? Or does this mean the Rooney rule needs more teeth, say, there has to be a new minority hire, not just an interview?

I’m worried for the following reasons:

This seems like a reasonable statement and I want to agree with you. Can I do that without incurring wrath of the commentariat? If not, then, Alpaca, how dare you?!

How intense will the pressure be on ABC(?) to replace Michael with another minority male? I really think they’re in a very difficult position.

I love this idea. Infinitely better than the names of the year competition.

Then they’re the only ones that saw him that way. And if that’s the case, trading everything for something no one else wants that badly, is a bad deal.

I’ll disagree. The Giants only gave up two #1s, a 3rd, and a 5th. This seems like a lot more for one guy.

I’ll disagree. The Giants only gave up two 1s, a 3rd, and a 5th. That’s not the same as this bucket of everything.

Wait? Why am I not gray? Oh my God! I’m not gray! I’m not gray!

I seem to remember a lot of complaints that the quality of games was down during the strike (lockout?) season. Some of it was the abbreviated pre-season, but a lot of it was the grind of 2 games every 3 nights. I agree a Christmas Day start would make for a more compelling regular season, but to get optimal quality

Irony: USC’s players kept missing free throws down the stretch, while their coach was the NCAA record holder for career free throw percentage.

I’m confused. Am I the only one who thinks Dan’s response is a little vague? Was Dan in the room? Did Dan scold the coach because it came out that Eli was asked this question? Or did Dan scold the coach immediately after he asked Eli this question? I’m wondering how many other potential draftees were asked the same
