I was also late to the Witcher 3 party, and have most of the same thoughts as you. Geralt definitely seemed to be just another male power fantasy but there’s some incredible depth to the writing, especially if you play all the side quests.

The reason I don’t think he was the codebreaker is that Maz trusted the real codebreaker, and I don’t think she would trust someone so willing to sell out the rebellion.

Not only was the entire Finn subplot pointless, it resulted in Finn single handedly destroying most of the rebellion. Instead of sticking to the plan and finding the codebreaker, they put their trust in some rando they find in prison who opened ONE door, which leads to them being betrayed and most of the rebellion…

Gee, it’s not like it’d ever be fun to see a movie where the main couple weren’t in some lame couple-spat. Writers need to take a page from the Parks & Recreation / Bob’s Burgers handbook. Sometimes it’s just more fun to see a strong relationship on-screen.

$9 for ONE ticket a month? I get that it’s technically saving you money, but that’s just plain insulting. Give me a baseline 5 movies a month and MAYBE you can start to get some attention.

Just started Wolfenstein: The New Order so I could get in some cathartic Nazi-killing.
