That's funny you said that, because I'm reading Eisner's "A Contract With God" for my class. Additionally, we just finished "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay," and in the book one of the characters watches "Citizen Kane" and it changes how he creates comic books.

Slightly off-topic, but I figure that if anyone could help me, it would be here. Anyway, I'm taking a course in college titled "The Graphic Novel," and for one of my projects I have to create my own graphic novel. Any comic book creators out here who might have some pointers for me? The set up I have now is just pen

I loved the original Driver: You Are the Wheelman, and even have it installed on the laptop I just got. I know that the sequels sucked ass, so it's good to hear that D:SF is doing well. I just may buy it!

Unfortunately you can't just slow down anything. If you are filming at 24 frames per second, you literally have 24 frames of video every second. To make something slow-motion, you need a whole lot more frames than that, and you can't just pull frames out of thin air. I'm not entirely sure how twixtor works, but I

I've seen enough memes to know where this is going...

Give them some fish so they can thank us on their way out

Protip: Explore the place you live in. I'm sure you can find tons of interesting places that aren't too far away from you*. Heck, even when I'm at school I'll wander around campus, and it's crazy how many things you can find when you go looking! My favourite thing to do is sneak into the theaters and relax on the

I lived in Colorado for most of my life, so when I moved to Southern California when I was 14 and my dad bought my whole family annual passes to Disney, it was the greatest thing in the world. I've purchased an annual pass every year since (been here 7 years). I love that place to death

My man boobs beg to differ

@ Actiontrip:

I downloaded it before I knew it was even a leak (I got it from the official thread on the forums). So far it's pretty neat, especially creative mode! One of the first things I came upon was an abandoned mineshaft with two spider-spawners and a ton of cobwebs, which I got stuck in and then attacked by about seven or

Hah! Hearted

And then sit back and enjoy some moonpies for a job well done!

Don't hate the whole job thing so much. First, you have a serious leg-up on the kids who never actually work until after they've graduated. Yes, it takes up a lot of time, but it can be seriously worth it (especially money-wise). On the other hand, try to relax when you can so you don't over-work yourself.

Curl up in the fetal position and weep in front of my computer for the most part.

24 fps is what actual film runs at, so digital cameras record at that speed to try to mimic film.

Note taking applications don't let me doodle all over the page, so pen and paper it is!

What the hell! The music starts off from "Welcome to Lunar Industries," which got me all excited, and then promptly changes to music from "The Fountain." While I love Clint Mansell through and through, I would have much preferred to hear the former. I will admit, however, that the song would not have fit as well.
