My general rule: If I just have to pee, I'll run my hands quickly through some water before I leave, so I don't look disgusting. If I take a dump, then I'll thoroughly wash up.

The bathrooms at my school all have foot pedals to flush the toilet. While they're handy for the urinals, for some reason they put the pedals *behind* the toilets in the stalls, and it's near impossible to push them while you're sitting down.
