He drafted legislation to end US support of the Saudi-led war in Yemen, laid the groundwork for expanding the Affordable Care Act based on his Medicare for All plan, developed a recovery plan for Puerto Rico, not to mention spent considerable time trying to defeat the Republican Tax Bill...

Specifically, he said in the 2016, he would begin by raising taxes on household income above $250,000 annually.

Kaine was a milquetoast decision on her part. She should have gone with one of the people lined up in the primaries like Harris or Booker. She was playing too safe by going for the middle.

That belief informs and guides the way he views policy, so although he’s a lot better than Mike “I can’t make eye contact with a woman who isn’t Mother or came out of Mother” Pence, he’s not the progressive ally everyone wants…

Luckily Vice Presidents don’t do much except wait around for their bosses to die. They break the occasional tie in the Senate but that is very rare.

Salient and excellent point. Uncle Joe was notably and inappropriately handsy with women of all ages.

And of course, although the man makes a great buddy-meme with President Obama, he is notably anti-abortion.
