okay that entirely justifies it, you've sold me on that.

welp I don't read the comments enough or been around long enough to know that this opinion of mine is reviled as much as it seems to be (the whole get a different reviewer thing) Duly noted.

yep I read Alan's reviews from time to time, but I mainly check AV Club

and again, as you said, I don't have to agree with all his opinions or his grade, even if they are well thought out and argued well by him. That's the beauty of it isn't it? (I certainly found the weather balloon thing to be.. stupid as well though and agree that the women are being made stationary)

I'm quite fine with reading negative reviews of things. Like The Strain.

I just want a reviewer who isn't showing a certain disdainful bias I guess, maybe not on purpose though? That's what has come across me a little bit. I was told of all AV Club reviewers, he has the most comic book knowledge, which certainly creates slight bias in his expectations in the way this show is adapted.

as I said it's certainly not amazing or great. It's just not as bad as he makes it out to be

woah where is it?

well I think this show is being catered to casual Batfans/ general masses… and not everyone is super knowledgeable about Batman (So many people have no idea who Edward Nygma is, for example)

I mean yeah it's not Shakespeare, and it's not a comic book adaptation in the vein of Arrow, but I expected it to be hoakey and cheesy, personally.

i mean it feels like it's a chore for this reviewer. Get someone who wants to genuinely watch the show to review it maybe?

A C- in AV Club standards doesn't really say average.. from what I've noticed. I mean I thought maybe a B- or a C+ would have been apt.

This reviewer's way too harsh on this show. I mean this ain't no Breaking Bad, but a C- is way harsh.

i think i chuckled a good minute over this comment.

i can't equate this to the pro-life pro-choice debate, because not even a pro-choice person would try to abort a baby who was minutes from being born. I'm pro-choice ftr, but I just can't see it in that context in this case.

I was thinking along the lines of Cloverfield cos of all the spidery parasitic bug things ughuhg this episode made my skin crawl at some parts.

I thought so too actually. I actually like the kid playing little Bruce. He's no Henry from OUAT s1.

Everything from the moment the astronaut asks "How do we kill it?" was just perfect. Heartbreaking, infuriating, and perfect. On some level I felt the Doctor left them out of spite and some anger … Because how many times has he saved humankind when all signs pointed to their utter destruction? But here she was, asking

haven't read the comments, but I'm pretty sure Lucy was helping him shoot up placebos hence causing the withdrawals.. Just a suggestion. Could be wrong. Probably am wrong. There's a scene that lingered for a second on a shot of her filling up a vial, that look suspiciously like the ones she gave to Thack, saying it

.. Azula didn't even regard Long Feng as a person worth her attention or time.. unless something happened in the comics.. i don't see why or how Azula would even ever be remotely romantically interested in Long Feng.
