I’d also want to know more about the state of the apex seals before handing over the dough. With how clean the car is though, I say NP as long as starting it doesn’t release a massive plume of smoke.

I would say that, 100%, without a doubt, that this car has an engine bay.
I saw the first photo and was immediately itching to vote NP, but I’m slightly worried by the no-engine-bay situation.
I’m not a rotary guy, but you could have told me this car was $20K and I wouldn’t have blinked. Someone who’s into this kind of thing seems to be getting a very nice car.
Oh YEAH! One of my “wants” from back when, but either too poor or spending too much on other things (houses, wives, kids, motorcycles).
The removable battery pack is a winning idea. Now make a removable tote that will snap into the tank hole so you can carry some groceries or other stuff.
And it won’t be worth $0 when it blows up. Easily, and conservatively, a grand with a dead engine or toasted clutch? So do you think you can get 1 summer of cruising out of it for $2500? 2 summers? I’d roll the dice on that.
Allow me an analogy: You walk into a Quiznos and see a guy leave half of a perfectly good Italian sandwich just... sitting there. There’s nothing wrong with it. The sandwich was clearly cut in half, and aside from being a little rough from the unwrapping process, that’s half of a good sandwich. It even still has the…
The “no dicers” are the people thinking you need to return this to factory condition in order to be enjoyable. You’re probably the same people that have matching towels in your bathrooms and don’t use the dishwasher because it doesn’t get the glasses “clean enough”.
Even better, put a giant blower on it that pokes through the hood so you can have a Tesla with an onboard supercharger.
I would love to park this at a supercharger and rev it.
When I read the title I was expecting one converted using the parts from a RHD Chyrsler Voyager (they were sold in the UK in that generation and our former Prime Minister Tony Blair famously owned one and got some stick in the press for promoting green policies while driving the quite high CO2 emitting six cylinder…
One of two things is happening....
I struggle with imagining who would buy this. Private party kbb value on one of these that hasn’t been ruined is under $1000. Why would I pay 5-1/2 times what a car is worth because it has been made useless? I might give this person $300 just so I could give this car to my sister-in-law in hopes that she will use it…
Giugiaro (did I spell that right?)
The price sounds a little high but I could be moved to give on my limits, maybe. It would kind of depend on how the meeting went.
Depends on the use. For outraging the Ferraristas, very little would be more useful.
debadge it and I might guess 1980s Jaguar...but yeah, it would be a long time until I guessed Ferrari if it ever even occurred to me.
Call me selfish, but I wear the ribbed condoms inside out.
