I really appreciate your willingness to pull back the curtain and share your experiences, and importantly, your take on the behind the scenes stuff. And it is an unusual perspective, not usually heard by those of us who can't make it to cons—and, you know, it's like all sciency an stuff. :D

I agree, however you made my point. It appeared that the runners were starting to play with the tropes that made SG so watchable but then U was canceled. There have been countless discussions about all the good (esp. SF) shows that had weak first seasons and often didn't find their sea-legs until late 2d/early 3d

Fascinating, even the math that's way beyond me. And SG:U, yet another show cancelled before it had a chance to succeed or fail on its own.

I truly appreciate the parsing and labeling of colors that is commonplace in astronomical images nowadays. It makes both the text and images so much more comprehensible.

Well said!

In the hundreds of exceptionally! stunning photos of Earth from space, these stand out.

Yes, thank you! And they look stricken. :o

One of the scientists in the voiceover said they were actually flippers.

I was expecting that the rover would look all-over battle-scarred like the tires; but, actually, a scrub behind the ears and a dollop of pomade and I think it would be quite presentable. *scrappy little rover*

Well, that's done it: I'M POWER MAD NOW!

Whew! Thanks for the follow. :-) Now I can blithely peppered you with questions and side-ways comments in unavoidable black type. :D

Thanks, working fine. What he has to say about the impact of an eruption from the new unpronounceable volcano compared to ash problems, etc. from the eruptions of the previous unpronounceable volcanos is intriguing.

This photo duo is very neat. And the article on the new Icelandic volcano is comprehensive, but the web com link doesn't work and I can't find another reference .

The project director (?) was on Science Friday. She said now that there is a sharper picture of the comet, she calls it "the boot" because it looks more like the Monopoly game piece than a ducky.
