Isn’t the “added effect” here that you *can use it as a debuff instant? If there were no land-side penalty, a player would just replace all their basic lands w/ these twofers and have a stronger deck.

Both films proposed that SW could be more interesting than their bland-in-comparison (though enjoyable) predecessors. For me, both succeeded wildly. My favorite two.
