I once worked w/ a guy who couldn’t bring himself to upgrade anything on his PC because he was certain something better/cheaper was just around the corner, and he was paralyzed by the fear of that particular flavor of buyers remorse. That sad person used a 6-yr-old computer.

The only thing that matters to me is the finished product, not discarded deliberations or spitballs or intent or opinions.…
My shoes are platform agnostic.
My impression of most of Crichton’s later works is that he wrote them *exclusively* to be filmed. Starting w/ The Lost World I felt his writing began to get overly simple, structured much more like typical film screenplays.
