That’s not true.
That’s not true.
I’ve been feeling the same way. We’re all just too different and maybe we have the same language and some customs in common (food, too) but for the most part all of us are really different from each other. I tend to say I was born in LA and my folks are Ecuadorian and Colombian. Keep it as specific as possible.
Ahem.. as a white woman yes, this person should be able to look beyond stats and recognize a quiet racism against asian people. I do it. It’s not hard. It’s subtle and it’s there, and asian people in america deserve better. You don’t have to be asian to listen to people like yourself and accept what they say as valid…
Thank you. I came here to say this. People keep asking for stories about real people that are inclusive. THIS IS A FUCKING REAL STORY THAT IS INCLUSIVE. SO REAL IN FACT THAT IT FUCKING HAPPENED. Unless white women now have to either date within their race or no one is allowed to tell true stories about interracial…
Since you’re not asian, you can’t be expected to understand what it’s like to be within a stone’s throw of acceptance but always kept at arm’s length fulfilling the role of yes men. Don’t try to understand it, you can’t, you’re not asian and don’t have the lived experience.
Personally I’m tired of people attacking interracial relationships. I hated when Jill Scott did it several years ago and I hate it now. Because underneath the rant about interracial relationships is the hatred of biracial people. We get it, you don’t think we should exist.
I agree but isn’t this particular movie a true story? I don’t think it belongs quite in the same category because it was Kumail’s real life experience with his current partner and not a fictional creation. Thoughts?
And by earning white love, the Asian man gains acceptance in a society that has thwarted them from the very beginning.
And yet some of the reactions I’ve seen around the internet would make you think UNICEF admitted they were forcing kids to compete in The Hunger Games.
If I have to wear a jacket or tie, and you don’t, just because of silly ideas of what “appropriate attire” are by gender, then there’s always been a problem. You just didn’t think about it because, as a woman, you didn’t care until they gave you a hard time over a sleeveless outfit or peek-toe pumps.
Girl, go choke on something. Preferably a mandingo attached to a Dominican who had a pearl inserted to make white battyholes like yours leak.
I have to nitpick here, the available doctor was called brown not black, and part of the rant was about English. So we are likely looking at Indian or Middle Eastern.

I heard Barron Trump calls Robert Mueller “Papa Bob.” People are saying this.
The only other way would be fire this joker. And as we all know, the liberal media would have a fit if that were to happen.
Mister President, if I didn’t know better, I’d think that you were intimidated.
I appreciate your maths and analysis, but if I’m going to be entirely honest I could be an hour late to work and I’d still get the exact same amount of work done that day than I would have otherwise.
Hey, I got you. And this story is tragic, but your comment WAS incredibly spot-on and funny.
If we’re gonna have humor here, then you absolutely win COTD
Very thoughtful post and argument. As a black woman working and living in a predominantly white state, and job I get it. I understand the need sometimes to be around people who just get it after being harassed in many minor ways (and some major ways) by well meaning people who just don’t get it. Who want to tell…
