Oh good.  My two-year-old constantly demands that I sing or play this song, so I really needed more exposure to it.  Thank you internet, from the bottom of my middle finger.

Who knew that breaking the wheel meant replacing a king as the ruler of Westeros but a wonky neo-liberal technocrat

My favourite part when they sent Jon to the Night’s Watch, which has no longer has a reason to exist.

But seriously, some thoughts:

I don’t care about being wrong. If I worried about that I would never make any predictions.

I agree. It’s not what happened, but how it happened. If they had just another episode or two in this final season, they could have developed the plot and characters in a more satisfying way. But the show is by no means terrible, and I’ve already figured out which flavor of popcorn to get for Sunday night.

Look man it’s ludicrous to say that there’s been a steady and naturalistic change in her personality over the course of the show. Pretending that there has been is such a weird hill for people to die on.

Agreed. Cheap, redundant, and an absolute bullshit return for the past decade.

Solid contender for worst fucking episode.

Nobody is making “pennies” in their fifth and sixth season of a prime-time, network TV show. Those contracts are always structured so the per-episode paycheck goes up significantly every year.

If I have to read/hear another Boomer’s comments about young people I swear to satan...

Really burying the lede here that Tessa Thompson is single.

No but a shot of that Ass..

A person can eat children and still be great at blogging, it’s so unfair that you continue to be judged based on your actions. Like all cannibal witches, you should be able to do whatever you want with no consequences.

Dicks out for the unsullied.  That fighting retreat made me cry like a baby.  Everytime they shouted “Hoo!” in the face of extinction, I was like “Westeros doesn’t deserve you!”

I’m an editor who’s worked with a lot of writers and I never stop being amazed by people that can make a living at being creative. I write as well but I don’t always feel that inspiration, and with technical writing there’s very little wiggle room. I honestly don’t think I could handle the expectations that follow a

No hate from me, I love that soundtrack. Often I hear Magic on a Macy's commercial.

Xanadu had a great soundtrack. I actually owned the dual LP and was still playing it as recently as 1992 in my bedroom on my little turntable. ELO doesn't get enough credit for putting out a solid disco record a year after disco died.

I don't know either.

That batacuda drumming on the song is amazing. I never understood why Graceland was such a hit and this album kind of escaped public notice.
