It’s disappointing the BMW is sticking with its dual-use platform. The result is a compromised ICE setup and a compromised EV. I’d be interested in an EV M3, but not if it’s on a dual-use platform. 

I was gonna say. Since when is $2B a “whole lot” of money to the U.S. government? Don’t we pay something like 10x that amount in fossil fuels subsidies?

China has spent about $230 billion since 2009 or about $15 billion a year.

We’ll never be able to calculate it, but I’d love to know how that $2b compares to the amount the CCP has dumped into it’s EV industry to help them dominate globally.
