I’m a middie and play on a college practice squad and have played about 7-8 years. I have nothing but respect for goalies, their focus and reflexes.

The problem is that it WOULD absorb heat. Way too much heat and cycling between quite warm and crazy cold day after day, would weaken the structure over time. It’s so difficult to work in such brutal conditions that anything that can potentially increase maintenance, you don’t do it.
