What? I don’t like to turn them on until its about 20 deg or below outside. Even then they only stay on until the seat warms up.

I agree that that’s what we’ve been seeing for the last 15-20 years but that is still a very new way that companies have been run. If a company grows to the point that Tesla has, with no profits and relying solely on perception to increase valuation to generate that cash flow, what happens during the next economic

If companies aren’t profitable they generally don’t stay companies for very long.

The referenced article points to Jason Fenske’s Engineering Explained video that says the Taycan is much more inefficient than the a Tesla and to bring it up on par in range it would need massive batteries and weigh a disgusting amount.

What you want is an internet expert. A person that is an expert in, literally, everything.

I see now that I misunderstood the article. I thought they actually put the bike engine in a car. This whole article seems way more pointless to me now.

Here is some daily dose of bureaucratic stupidity about driving with headphones in:

Canadian gas pumps have had chip readers for at least 5 years now. I don’t remember the last time I used the magnetic strip. I wonder why the US market was so slow to adopt?

It’s likely detuned because of the added weight and tire grip. That additional grip stresses the drivetrain components more under hard acceleration. I suspect they limited the torque or redline (and as a result, horsepower) to prevent damage to the components originally designed for a bike.

Someone in planning was lied to about how big 8" actually is.

Nascar is known for their intelligent and woke fan base, too.

I have an inside brunch and one that stays in the car. I swap them periodically when the outside one starts together ice from the freeze/thaw of being in the car.

It takes more energy to get a heavier can moving but at steady speed, the weight is irrelevant. A heavier car will also give more energy back in regen braking than the lighter car. However, this doesn’t account for the massive difference in range, though. The Taycan is only 250 lbs (5%) heavier. If the efficiencies

The video doesn’t explain what makes the Taycan inefficient. It compares it to the Model S to explain why electric car efficiency in general is important.

Don’t be a fool, wrap your spare.

I’m of the opposite opinion. Never cared for the angular C4 but the curves of the C5 are sexy as hell.

That’s what Chevy was told by focus groups on the Silverado too...

I see your opinion and raise you a heated steering wheel.

I’m a mechanical engineer that works with drivetrains in a different industry. I watch many of Jason’s videos an find them to be generally accurate with good assumptions, particularly this one given the limited info that was released. He’s not doing vehicle design calcs, he’s breaking down high level concepts into

Isn’t the deposit $1000?
