I was ok with the whole thing until I saw this photo the other day. I didn’t realize that they were trying to position it as an actual mustang. If this Mach-E falls flat, it’ll hurt the Mustang brand as a whole a la Mustang II. If it succeeds, it’ll dilute the brand to mean “Ford non-truck”.

This car wouldn’t have been the well-remembered, historic failure that it was if it didn’t have the mustang name on it. Ford will never do that again.

I started typing a response of how I’m on the upper end of millennials and how I’m not pushing forty because I’m....only in my mid 30s. Fuck.

Cool AF.  No kinda about it.

I’m not against EVs - I think they are the way to go and have a part to play in resolving the climate change crisis. However, incentivising removing vehicles from the road that are still within their useful life and buying a new vehicle is not environmentally friendly - even if the new one is more efficient than the

This is a good point.  However, taking old cars off the road and building new ones isn’t affected by the changing grid.  It’s for that reason that it doesn’t make much sense.  If you were going to replace a vehicle anyway, that’s a different story.

It only makes sense if you ignore the emissions generated to recycle the old vehicles and to produce new ones. The picture is bigger than the electricity production.

1st gear: This isn’t helping the problem. Taking reliable vehicles off the road and building new ones to replace them that are powered by coal and natural gas isn’t exactly a step forward.

These should be referred to as BMW “Beaver Teef” from here on forward. Courtesy of the guys at Everyday Driver.

The difference is in the regulation. Driving is inherently dangerous and, therefore, there is a ton of regulation in design of roads and vehicles and with driver training and licensing.

They are designed to stop a good portion of a 4000 lb car, though. I don't see brake lights either - but they might be difficult to see.

two wheels = bad?

It’s a form of music. It just needs to take heavy inspiration from the original.

Why don’t they all just sound like the Jetson’s car? Everyone knows it and it’s already perfect.

If it’s a form audible weapon for pedestrians, I think they hit the mark.

I got a ticket for “red lights at front” of vehicle in high school. So no, they’re definitely illegal to be on when driving.

Tesla’s are for hipsters. Porsche’s are for the tasteful rich. These will be compared in the media but never seriously cross-shopped.

Except that SS can mean whatever chevy wants it to. Turbo doesn’t mean special or quick, no matter how much Porsche tries.

So many records more than 4 door EV:

It could be turbo fan cooled.
