I think a lot of Funko collectors hate that practice. There have been some Walgreen (drug store) exclusives for some pretty neat Spider-man character Funkos that became very difficult to find because most Walgreens couldn’t care less about a silly collectible and stock them in such small numbers. So now I can’t fill

They are both bad actors in this. The developers for gladly throwing customers under the bus for the quicker buck and Epic for even offering the option up.

I don’t think there would be half the care about exclusivity in the PC marketplace if the first games Epic grabbed weren’t already being bought for pre-order on other store fronts or games that were funded through KS with the promise of Steam keys.

What is the prime demographic for video gamers? I mean it is getting wider as time goes on because it has become more of a past time for people but HL2 came out ~15 years ago (NOV 16 2004). There is a generation of gamers that are prime targets now that might never have played a half-life game.

Only the best known. Not like devs and publishers couldn’t try for Microsoft, itch.io, or GOG. Uplay, Origins, Battlenet, and Bethesda are out as the solely (I believe) sell only their own publishers games.

These businesses aren’t looking out for anyone and will hurt anyone they have to in order to get profitable. UberEats and Doordash are just making it so places don’t have their own delivery drivers. So that person gets fired and now has to join the ranks of “contractors” for the very company that cost him a better

All service industry work like this sucks. Go talk to many hair stylist or tattoo artist. They pay rent for a booth and hope they get enough appointments that they can cover their cost and eat.

Uber & Lyft limit drivers from using the app for greater than x hours each day. AirBNB prevent people from listing multiple locations and offering for longer than x number of days a year.

This oddity fare got him the 30$/hr. Not every ride is going to be surge price, with the secondary stop increase. And at the end of the ride, Uber got 50$ while the guy got 15$. Seems like a raw deal. A company that provides what, Google map directions and a craigslist ad post?

This case is all abnormal, its a surge priced ride with a secondary stop so its going to cost more than your average ride share, so unless every ride is surge priced, with the secondary stop added fee, you can make it to the 30$/booked hr level.

So just because they aren’t market leader they have a right to perform underhanded and frowned upon actions?

A blind passenger , a quadriplegic passenger, and even an epileptic passenger would be able to access food easier than having to park and be assisted into the store to get their fast food. I’m not sure what part of this entire thing you are missing here. Those in wheelchairs or using crutches, or canes or walkers are

How many blind people drive, how many quadriplegic people drive, how many people with sever enough cases of epilepsy that a drive thru is an issue are legally allowed to drive?

And just because it isn’t defined by the ADA act you think that they don’t utilize it as a way to minimize the amount of extra effort it would take them in order to obtain their fast food order? The only disability that I can think of that is actually hindered by a drive thru is being deaf.

Nice humble brag. Congrats super parent.

I still bet that a lot of parents and those with disabilities would love to have more drive-thru or drive up options. The largest business in America (World?) entire business is based on the don’t have to go into the store to get the item of my desire. There are a number of businesses trying to be the next deliver it

Looking at https://adata.org/factsheet/parking
it is going to be pretty rough for those with parking stickers to find accommodated parking in these new all parking restaurants.

This article is literally titled “Epic Store Rage Has Gotten Out of Hand”. If Nathan didn’t want to be a shill for EGS he could have written the title as “Indie Developer Harassment Has Gone Off The Rails”. Instead he ties this directly to Epic. He gets his clicks from both sides defending their option and gets to tie

No one here is comparing Epic to Alibaba, they are comparing Epic to Valve, Ubisoft, EA, and Blizzard. In 2019 I don’t remember hearing a lot of articles about these other software sales points having issues like Epic.

The new store opens, They have no carts, you can only buy one item at a time and if you get back into line too quickly they kick you out of the store and take everything you already bought, they take a picture of your credit card and post it on the wall outside the store, and the big thing is they make a deal with
