I would have loved to have gotten that bottle cap

Yeah, one of the highest-spec, innovative, and intuitive phones on the market could have been loaded down by bloat-ware and rendered un-upgradable in a year and a half! Oh, the possibilities.

The resale value is a pretty weak argument. I don't buy a phone as a depreciating asset. I buy it to use. Android beats apple, for me.

personally, i use my windows and android gear until it runs into the ground. never consider reselling.

You must be trapped in time somewhere

Because we use them 8+ hours every day of our waking life. It's important to have one that we enjoy using.

Forget all this arrows, light up symbols, and BS. Just walk your lazy ass around the car when you rent it.

Space is full of junk..." feels like we ought to have known"

Don't include me or my friends (with a couple exceptions) in that group.

"Screw you, photographer!"

It's weird how many people are obsessed with the idea that if sexualities/gender roles/lifestyles other than the traditional monogamous man-woman nuclear-family model are allowed to exist, it will supposedly result in the end of ALL heterosexuality, monogamy and family units. Deathpanels. A play in three acts as imagined by Sarah Palin. This will be huge with southern audiences.

I told a friend last year that we had a blue moon that night; she went outside to look and when she came back, said, "What are you talking about? It's not blue at all."

Then Helvetica Ultra Light was born

Find bug. Report bug. Get ignored. Exploit bug. Get noticed. Bug fixed. You were bad, no money for you.

I like how Woz is a stand up kinda guy. Speaks with good intentions for all, but isn't afraid of dispelling things that are false. I'm sure this will make for a good movie, but you heard it straight from the best 2nd hand account you probably can get, its not true.

As to compromising principles for money, I will add one detail left out of the film. When Apple decided not to reward early friends who helped, I gave them large blocks of my own stock. Because it was right. And I made it possible for 80 other employees to get some stock prior to the IPO so they could participate in

WP did not create Metro. I worked on the Zune device team, and our implementation predated yours by a year or two. Nor did we "create" Metro. We only did the first touch driven version of it. It's real lineage is from Media Center, and later Portable Media Center.

I work on the WP dev team that created "Metro". The idea is focused around reduction. We were inspired by airport terminals and train station signs. Simple type and flat icons used to easily direct people through complex worlds. Perfect for our complex devices that need to be user friendly.
