Ha. Ha. I remember doing this. In high school I did Science Olympiad. The Astronomy rules stipulated a computer is fine, but no internet access. Anything pre-downloaded on to the computer was fine. So, boom, wikipedia.
Is Spotify for linux still for paid subscribers only?

I completely agree. Everything that this article has mentioned can be accomplished simply by not pulling your phone out of the pocket, which I frequently do. Also, i see my phone as more like a Hitchhiker's Guide than an instructions book, and I use information from it to supplement what I already know. Like going to…
I just couldn't use GIMP's interface. Too confusing with all of those windows floating around. Also, it maps a tablet independently of the mouse pointer.

For me, an actual Start button is absolutely useless. All it does is to take up real estate on my taskbar. I tend to be minimalist, and thus a dedicated button is pointless when an invisible hot corner sufficed.

It's been done like this since the beginning of Ubuntu. The .04 -> .10 upgrade is not as minor as it seems. For example, between the…
Yes, let's give students some Amazons. Why not throw in a few internets per kid to boot?
at about 4 million miles from the star, the stellar wind will be so strong that it will strip whatever little atmosphere away from the planet, exposing the surface to pure vacuum. Forget about liquid water. The lack of an atmosphere will cause extreme heat variations. The day side will see searing-hot temperatures,…
