He also directed Clown, a low budget horror-comedy that's surprisingly decent.

The first season is still the best one, after that it settles into a more traditional type of show. So less insane batshittery, but still good. It's worth it just for Tatiana Maslany of course.

The short story Guts in Chuck Palahniuk's Haunted almost made me throw up when I read it. A guy gets off on masturbating underwater in his swimming pool while simultaneously stimulating his anus by sitting on the pool's water-intake filter. He misjudges the suction power of said water filter…voila Guts. There's also a…

Hmm, I always imagined they'd get someone older or more dignified for the part. But on the other hand, more eye candy so bring it on!

They did a pretty good job with the last 4 movies, Skyfall "billion dollar Bond" etc.

C'mon, the show had great production values. Sure, it had a lot of flaws, but I don't think looking flat was one of them.

I don't think it's so much about the the guest judges current popularity, more how much they interact once they're up there. If they're having fun it's clearly visible, isn't that what matters? I for one can't wait for Lisa Kudrow and Tori Spelling.

No love for Rupaul's Drag Race All Stars 2? I thought it was one of the best seasons yet. 10 talented queens at the top of their game, give or take a Roxxy/Phi Phi, made for some of the most infectious fun I had watching TV this year.

I thought all 3 of them were pretty great. Throw in Train to Busan and The Witch and I think you have a pretty decent year for horror flicks. Maybe not all-time classics, but they finally put some much needed suspense and smarts back into horror movies.

I thought it was pretty decent for silly nonsensical fluff. It was smarter than it had any reason to be, though the ending was ridiculous I'll admit.

I also saw Angry Birds in a theatre with my niece and nephew, their enjoyment was so contagious I ended up laughing with them throughout. I tried re-watching it on a flight a few weeks ago and was astounded at how shit it really is and after 10 minutes switched to something (anything) different.

Hush and Train to Busan are two of my favorites of the year. Can't recommend them enough!
