Which street fighter game did you play that had alternate costumes as unlockables? last I checked the only thing that was readily available was palette swaps. Costumes were never free and as DLC, don't add anything to the game besides aesthetics.

No offense, but can you get stories from people who are, I dunno, Japanese? I'd much rather hear their perspective of things than some gaijin who's already removed from the culture by the fact that he doesn't live and breath that sort of culture since birth.
