Came to work one day in the nineties and there was one in the parking lot. Apparently it was a clients and my boss was driving it for a week. He asked if I wanted to drive it so I of course said yes. I took it out on the 210 freeway in San Gabriel and drove it at exactly the speed limit, not wanting to get a ticket on…
Works great where they devote themselves to doing it right.
I have always really liked these, but this one, no. Shitty mods and too many miles, even for a Toyota. The other issue is that these and Chevy Cavaliers had terrifying crash test results.
I moved to France two years ago and here peeing beside the car is a national pastime.
I live in France and Mitsubishi does a good business in pick up trucks here. Between them and the Ford Ranger, they seem to have the market tied up.
The only problem with the Luv and all its counterparts was that they were death traps.
Try finding a replacement tire quickly, then spend a moment wondering why it’s so expensive.
This is like the retro sport coat that you buy in the Salvation Army store. It looks semi cool, it kind of fits, you maybe wear it once or twice but it smells and is shabbier than you realized. In the end it proves to be an impulse buy rather than a good decision. ND.
Fugly then, fugly now. ND.
All cars look alike, I’m happy that Hyundai and Kia are willing to take chances and be more daring than anyone else.
One of these ate a friend of mine out of house and home. Sludged motor among many constant repairs. They bought a Hyundai Vera Cruz to replace it that went 190K miles with no issues. So, No Dice.
Renault has a long and pretty well regarded enthusiast division, The ELF.
46K to 59K Us dollars.
It’s French, I love it.
You damn fool, you ruined it!
I moved to France from Los Angeles a year and a half ago, and the difference in attitude that drivers have towards cyclists here is amazing. By law, you can’t get closer than one meter to a cyclist, and people take it seriously. In Los Angeles cars would woosh by at 60 mph just inches away from you, I never felt safe…
Like, make a car that doesn’t look like a car?
But the Hyundai might not be a garage queen.
