Underpaying independent contractors is a hallmark of corporate America. The value added to Valve is not commensurate with the payout. As Zach pointed out, this could have been a costly exploit for Valve. It wasn’t because of this person’s actions. There’s a disconnect between Valve’s ability to pay based on their

Thankfully Kotaku has several links to related articles for you to read and help inform yourself.

Not understanding a meme isn't much of a defense for the 'all lives matter'ing of the actual subject of gay rights.

also also also, a lot of queer elders used the acronym QUILTBAG, but because the cis straights hate fun, the acronym LGBTQ was used for years.

Ah yes, because heaven forbid the straights have to be reminded that gay people exist throughout their day, I forgot how traumatic that is for them.

Literally the only reason why the “alphabet soup” exists is because “queer,” which had been the dominate label when the community was more fully coalescing in the mid-late 1900s, was weaponized against us by straight, cis people (started by TERFs trying to segregate trans folks out of the conversation).

If you knew what those labels, especially the newer ones, meant, you’d hopefully revisit the basis of your opinion here.

People in general don’t appreciate when OTHER PEOPLE apply labels to them, while at the same time finding SELF-APPLIED group labels to be useful for collaboration and shared identity.  This isn’t exclusive to people in the LGBTQIA community; rather, it’s a common feature of, you know, humans.

It keeps getting longer because it’s not just “a group of people”, it’s “a bunch of groups of people”.

...the whole point is not to have definitions and expectations you DIDN’T consent to forcefully applied to you. “I’m not this, but that” isn’t ironic in the least.

I swear to God I don’t even know what’s going on anymore. But yes Gay Rights.

So, the Chinese developer TiMi Studio Group sent an English language tweet. And as a result The Pokemon Company International released a statement, in English, that they fully support the LGBTQIA+ community. My, what an interesting weekend this will be for Public Relations people.

“Their” who? Activision-Blizzard’s stock is down 15% in the past month.

These are also the same app developers (NYT Crossword app that is) that broke the keyboard functionality on iOS for a solid month to where the keyboard was nearly unusable because of its tiny size. Not sure I’ll renew my subscription when it’s up in January.

To be fair, I wouldn’t hold a Kotaku commenter to the same standards as an editor at a venerated rag.

Ok, here’s an essay on what getting the media to deal with these kinds of issues is like from the other side; Long story short, it’s a depressing nightmare.

We live in a world where we have yearly call of duty US military jerkoff sessions, but you are concerned because a single chinese company is buying a random British publisher because propaganda, lol

do you really think it’s the inability to display the card when he has, according to him anyway, literally over 100 of the same card that have been graded to be in mint condition? and only this one has a signature?

i’m not sure how that explains him saying he’s debating erasing it from the sleeve. that’s what folks think is disrespectful, he could have just said that the card holds the value and not the sleeve and left it at that

Silly sentiment.
