The Macan's not really a crossover in the sense I believe you're thinking about it. It'as a cross between a sports car and an SUV (like the 911 and the Cayenne had a kid), not a minivan and an SUV, which most people assume is the only thing that crossover means in the automotive world.

Having worked for Porsche and driven the Macan, I must disagree. The Macan Turbo is quite capable on track, believe it or not. It can run nearly identical lap times to a 911 Carrera. We started calling it an inflated 911, lol.
