This is the issue, we don’t teach ANYONE how to drive. The only thing you need in the US to get a license is the IQ of a toaster and some signal of a heartbeat. Getting a license here is absurdly easy, and I blame it for so many problems we have on our roads.

As an aside to this, they could start allocating a ton of this money to infrastructure projects (I’m not sure how that works now). Part of the problem with ticket fees now is that all they pay for is bureaucratic bullshit and not actual improvements to anything. 

Agreed. People get upset now because 5 over costs you a few hundred dollars and a few points on your license, which in turn costs you in insurance premiums. A blinker ticket should be a small $50 fine, speeding should be laddered (which I think it already is for fees, but not for points), impeding should be a flat…

Congrats on the sarcastic video, but the reason people don’t use them is because, at least in my area, there are almost no traffic cops to enforce ANYTHING. Speeding, impeding, texting, drinking, fucking... do whatever you want on Metro Detroit roads because no one is going to pull you over.

If you have wireless charging built into the car, there’s really no need for a cord at all. In that case, getting rid of the cord makes sense.

Sidebar to this post. Has anyone heard anything new about Waze coming to Android and Apple? I had to stop using Waze because all the dicking around with my phone was distracting the hell out of me. I wanted a voice activated version of Waze.

I know I’m a bit behind on this post but, I REALLY enjoyed the second duel last night. It was genuinely entertaining to watch. Something about the shorter races really speaks to my viewing habits I guess. I was on the edge of my seat for about the last 30 laps of that race.

The one thing I like about the cord, which I hope carries to wireless, is that being connected to, in my case Android Auto, renders your actual handset completely useless. It’s a nice way to keep people from dicking around with their phones while they’re driving.

I mean, one of the most tech savvy people in the world bought a Chevy Bolt. The “bonkers” products that Tesla are releasing aren’t anything special. They are the iPhones of electric cars.

Tesla became a status symbol, like Starbucks or Apple. Most people have never heard of FF, so they’re indifferent to FF’s success or failure.

Tesla drove the electric market for awhile, but they got caught up to VERY fast, and are now being surpassed (in the car market). People just haven’t seen it yet.

I like the socialization too. I like going to get coffee at coffee shop in our building in the morning. I like being able to go out and enjoy the city when the weather is nice. There are tons of advantages of going to the office.
